On Friday, May 19 from 5-8 p.m. Capital Area Regional Clergy & Friends are invited to the Ministers' Association Spring Dinner & Meeting at Columbia United Christian Church, Columbia, MD. We are delighted to host the Rev. Seung Un (Paul) Tché, President of the Disciples Council On Christian Unity who will speak. His keynote is titled, “Charting New Frontiers: Disciples Journey in the Land of Oz”
All clergy, significant others, and friend, regardless of membership in the Minister's Association and denominational affiliation, are welcome to this event.

Interfaith Workshop: Continuing Education For Lay & Clergy Alike
You are also invited to a workshop with Rev. Tché on Saturday morning, May 20th from 10:00 a.m. - 12“Called to Live Life in Unity: Our Journey with Interreligious Neighbors” which will be held at First Christian Church and Corner Community Center, Baltimore, Maryland.
A key resource for this workshop will be the "Study Guide for Report on Interreligious Engagement," a resource from the Council On Christian Unity. Purpose of this Study The primary purpose of this Study Guide is to help Disciples examine the report received by the General Assembly, “Disciples of Christ and Interreligious Engagement,” and to think through some of the issues it raises.

Save The Date: Workshop For Clergy & Pastoral Relations Committee Members Saturday, May 6
We are excited to host the Rev. Cynthia Lindner in our Region for several events, including a workshop for Clergy AND Lay Leaders (especially members of local Pastoral Relations Committees) to talk with her about her research and subsequent book on "Varieties Of Gifts: Multiplicity And The Well-Lived Pastoral Life." Rev. Lindner is Director of Ministry Studies and Clinical Faculty for Preaching and Pastoral Care in the Divinity School.
Cynthia Lindner received her training in the Divinity School's Doctor of Ministry program with emphases in biblical studies, ethics, and psychological studies. She has worked as a parish pastor, hospice chaplain, and pastoral psychotherapist for over twenty years. Teaching and research interests include questions of contemporary ministerial identity and formation, the ethics of preaching and pastoral care in multicultural society and the interface of corporate worship and public witness in congregational life. She recently published a book documenting her narrative research with clergy, entitled Varieties of Gifts: Multiplicity and the Well-Lived Pastoral Life (Rowman and Littlefield, 2016) and is currently researching multiplicity and movement in congregational narratives.
Rev. Lindner is also a pastoral psychotherapist at the Center for Religion and Psychotherapy, where she conducts clergy groups on narrativity and formation in addition to her work with individuals and couples. She conducts research on collaborative pedagogy in theological education, and is currently conducting interviews with clergy for a research project entitled "Accounting for Ourselves: Multiplicity in Ministry," funded by the Louisville Institute. Rev. Lindner is a member of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and of the International Association for Spiritual Care.
